Best Houston Ford Dealerships: Ford Tractors

Houston, Texas will always be memorable for Ford Motors; the city is one place where Ford dealerships operate quite profitably. However, Ford dealerships, particularly those specializing in tractors, actually exist in many US cities. This is largely because the main man of the prestigious company, Henry Ford, carried more interesting vehicle ideas ideas than just the popular Ford line of automobiles.

Prior to his tractor dealership, however, Henry Ford first focused his attention in other areas of Ford dealerships, particularly the automobile line. During that time, this Ford line was experiencing tremendous demands. By the early part of the 1900s, Ford dealerships in the automobile arena had become generally well-placed, enabling Henry to finally concentrate on starting tractor dealerships. For Henry Ford, dealerships in the tractor business were a major part of his plans; he was a farmer at heart, his father being a farmer himself.

Officially, Ford dealerships in the tractor business began in 1917 when Henry Ford set up the Henry Ford and Son company. The tractor dealership switched to full gear a year later when Great Britain requested 7,000 tractor units to finance the need for food, during the height of World War I. From there, it was only a matter of time before Ford dealerships became a major phenomenon all across the US.

Despite starting out in Dearborn, the Ford tractor dealership was not limited to this Michigan based city. Actually, Texas is one primary state where Ford dealerships can be easily found. In Houston alone, there are about 20 Ford tractor dealers currently in operation. These 20 Ford tractor dealers, as per the annual rankings made by Ward, belong to the 500 best American dealers.

Of the many Ford dealerships presently existing in the Houston area, two Ford tractor dealers are worth noting. These include Planet Ford and Lone Star Ford, both of which are Ford dealerships known for offering more than just assemblies of automobiles and tractors. For instance, Planet Ford seeks to make both car and tractor buying a fun experience for customers. This can be seen in the play area that has been specially designed for kids, and in the unique Henry Ford museum where visitors can see Ford dealerships as they evolved through the years.

Lone Star Ford, meanwhile, is one of several Ford dealerships that offer both new and previously-owned tractor models. Actually, of the many Ford dealerships in Texas, Lone Star Ford strangely does not make use of various gimmicks to lure customers. Rather, it comes out as a tractor dealership concerned more with presenting various Ford models in direct fashion, without the need to employ propaganda and promotional tricks, reminiscent of the early types of Ford dealerships.

Ford dealerships certainly have come a long way since their humble beginnings prior to the great wars. Amazingly, Ford has stood the test of time and continues to be among the better-known tractor dealership companies worldwide, thanks in great part to the great mind of Henry Ford.
